The room has a slight odour to it. And the place is mainly used by local tourists. During weekends, the hotel is packed. Family rooms - 2 bedrooms (320 and 321) have problems with the door key. We are often stuck outside the rooms and need the hotel stuff to open the door for us because the key that the hotel gave us doesn't work. We stayed at room 320 and room 321. Both rooms have problem with the door keys.

The hotel was advertised as 4 star. I would dipute this for the following reasonsL They could not exchange money (A$ to Vnd) No Room service Hot water for showering was spasmodic

good service, very nice pool and very nice beach, vung tau is a very beautiful city and definetly worth a visit

the beach was quite windy at the time we visited vung tau and food in vietnam was a little bit different what we were used to. I liked seafood and vegetarian dishes.

The hotel staff were not working as they should. Their English is poor and should pay more attention to the clients needs. My sister's wireless connection was not working and she need it to connect to one of your business center personal computer, but she could not due to one of the employee playing online game and telling the staff that he needed to finish up his game. The other pc that was used by another staff just started working on something on the pc when she requested to use the second pc. The wireless was not working and the it person could not fix it. I had to go downstairs and fix the wireless connection which it did work after I have rebooted both modems. I would never go back to this hotel as staffs sleeps and not care about the customers, nor understand English well enough that they would tell me to go downstairs to get clean towels.

Surprisingly nice dinner in private dining room on second night as main dining room was full of Vietnamese karaoke enthusiasts.

Four star hotel circa 1966. Bathrooms needed ripping out. Air con didn't work so my room was a sauna. Eventually after complaining, several men came in succession and changed it to a fridge setting. Man turned up and turned on all the taps for no particular reason and I never saw him again but hung around for an hour until the noise of the water got on my nerves. . No hot water, kettle didn't boil. Private beach was accessible to all. We were told the swimming pool was closed but then realised that was because the member of staff didn't want to be bothered to be a lifeguard. Very very poor value for money. Four star.is a joke. I'd say more of a struggling two star.Very scruffy, very tired. I visit Vietnam a lot to stay with my family in Ho Chi Minh and this was supposed to be a treat. No point in complaining as no-one spoke English and our Vietnamese is only basic.

Over rated and complex needs renovation or big price drop

Broken electrical switches and not enough power points for appliances in room

The hotel was excellent and superb value for money. The staff were fantastic and so helpful. They even provided flowers when they found out it was my birthday. I cannot praise the staff there enough for their help and friendliness throughout the time we were there.

The disco was a little too loud at night. You could hear it from our room and we were 5 floors away and around the corner so I cannot imagine how loud it was for anyone closer.

Good location, close to the beach. Good restaurant at competitive prices. Good breakfast.

The swimming pool is not private, anybody can have access by paying a fee. Rooms do not have a private safebox.

The hotel staffs are friendly and attentive to our needs. Terrible breakfast, however, it is understandable because the hotel was so quiet and not much guess stay at the hotel. In general, ok for the price we paid ($43us/night)

The hotel trying to provide us services such as Karaoke, nightclub, and massage next door to the hotel. We assumed the services are a part of the hotel facilities. Unfortunately it is not. They are all independently operated and managed by other business owner. All four of us experienced a terrible night. First we been rib off from massage place behind the hotel. Lot of hidden fees that they did not inform us when we ask the cost of the services. The owner of the massage place asked me to paid for the service staffs, paid extra to the massage girls (by the way, the girls dressed like a whore with not much skills on massage) They left some peanuts, sewing gum...etc out on the table, we assumed it was compliment, oh no, they charge us at the end. Check you bills items carefully, they intend to make mistake that cause you money. At night club, they offered my fiance drugs, sexy girls who will more than happy to drink you beer/ alcohol for you and charge you money for both drinking beer, sitting next to you. They also charge us service boy fee, security fee. They are thefts We checked out the next day, told the hotel receptionists, they were shocked and said that they have no idea. I advice them to get their operation manager, get off his/her lazy bum and go to these joins and check their operation ethics. No one will stay here if this continue. Next to our room, there was a western man and two prostitutes, that was scary. No good, no good, the management needs to do their job better.

Most of the staff were helpful. We had issues with a flight & one particular lady went out of her way & spent a good hour with us (on the very slow internet) to rectify our itinerary. Most staff didn't speak english but they were more then willing to find someone who did (however this did not apply on the weekends when you were the only non- english speaking people in the hotel & they didn't care about you or your needs). Location was reasonable. It cost about $5 for a taxi to get to the main strip which included both bars & touristy spots. Rooms were extremely outdated but in saying that they were very comfortable & roomy & had awesome cable tv which was perfect for watching a movie after a big day.

Vung Tau is very quiet during the week. We felt the hotel was shut even though we were there. We stayed for five nights - Saturday - Wednesday night. When we arrived it was very busy - full of Vietnamese families/couples/singles escaping Ho Chi Minh City for the weekend. We felt because we only spoke english we were somewhat ignored &/or when being served were frequently interrupted by other local weekenders asking for service. Definitely put on the backburner when it came to service purely because we were not local. Very different service between weekened & weekday. During the week the staff are accommodating because you are the only couple at the hotel & you are keeping the place opened but on the weekend do not expect service as you will not receive it. The staff do not speak english (which I accept being in a nonenglish speaking country) however we felt very out of place when we went up to the 'Tourist Desk' & were very rudely waved away because he could not speak english (yet he was reading an english newspaper). Vietnamese people in general only speak english when it is convenient for them. Rooms could easily turn people off. They are very outdated. They built the hotel in the 70's and left it there - there have been no renovations since. But in all fairness they are very clean & comfortable. The hot water was odd. You either had a cold shower or a burning hot shower depending on the weather. Not value for money. There are many more hotels in this strip that are waaaaay less money with similar if not better amenities. Not worth the money. Not a four star - more like a two.
